The mandatory Grade 4 French Ministry Exam for 2025 will take place over four days:
The French exam is divided into two sections: Writing and Reading. Each section has specific objectives:
Reading: your child will need to demonstrate a clear understanding of a text. This means identifying important details, answering questions accurately, and making inferences using clues from the text and their own knowledge.
Writing: Points will be awarded based on adapting to the writing situation, the coherence of the text, the use of appropriate vocabulary, correct sentence structure and punctuation, and adherence to standard spelling and grammatical rules.

During the exam, your child will need to apply what they’ve learned in class to show their reading and writing skills.
