About two years ago, Succès Scolaire started offering us the option of working a compressed schedule. This means we can complete our 75-80 hours over nine days and enjoy every other Friday off. Personally, I love it because having a three-day weekend every other week instead of just two allows me not only to unwind more effectively but also to have extra time for errands, vet appointments for my cats, or even getting a tattoo… and come back on Monday feeling refreshed and ready to go!

The initiative that comes to mind is the “Tracances” program, which allows us to work outside of Canada. As an immigrant with part of my family abroad, it was challenging for me to visit France regularly without using up my paid vacation days. Thanks to this initiative, I can now work from France for extended periods, allowing me to spend time with my loved ones while saving my vacation days for other destinations.
